Michel Tremblay
Forest survival specialist, explorer, adventurer, trainer, speaker and author
His challenge: "to give himself misery! "
Survival in the forest holds no secrets for this outdoor enthusiast. Michel Tremblay was born with an adventurous streak. At the age of 12, he had his first solo winter camping experience and since then, he has never stopped pushing his limits.
Challenging the impossible
His biological imprint has always pushed him to push back the barriers that were put in his way. The day he discovered his limit confirmed his desire to challenge himself: "The worst day of my life was when they announced that there was no more territory you didn't know existed," he says. Since then, he has continued to find ways to discover new things, by setting himself extreme challenges.
His adventures
Michel has experienced many types of climates and geography across much of the globe. Whether it be the jungles of Costa Rica, the semi-desert climate of the United States, the mountains of Western Canada, Chile or Argentina, his goal has always been to stay connected with nature and the climate that these countries had to offer. Nevertheless, his favorite place remains Quebec. "The most difficult thing is not to travel like I did. In Quebec, we have a playground that really allows us to go beyond our limits and I enjoy it as much as I can!"
Surpassing himself
Performance does not interest this seasoned explorer. "Going alone in the woods is a revelation. I used to go out with a team a lot, but alone, it can bring out certain fears. Alone, you are confronted with your knowledge, your skills and yourself. Being able to travel alone is mental. "
Michel Tremblay can easily say that with his survival experience, he can handle any situation. Whether in everyday life or in the forest, competing with himself is the healthiest competition there is for this born adventurer and explorer! "It is in adversity that one develops the spirit of resilience.
