Bohemian Club

Adventure and Epicure - Cooks in the Forest

Bohemian Club? This club is formed by Vincent, Renato and Pier-Yves, three guys from the Saguenay region. During their younger years, they always found themselves behind the stove at parties with friends. We can undoubtedly say that these guys love delicious meals. Food is at the heart of their friendship, adventure and nature.

It is at the turn of the pandemic that they decided to gather their passion to deepen the universe of cooking on wood fire and explore the territory of Quebec.

The unifying kitchen

What they love is cooking in the forest, with local products, around a wood fire.  With their numerous excursions in the forest, they already have a good number of recipes.  Enough to whet our appetites! They will share some of them with you over the next few months. It is also their pleasure to share their passion with their friends.

Vincent studied mechanical engineering. It is therefore not surprising to learn that he is always in search of perfection, including the best cooking techniques in nature. He is passionate about gastronomy and is interested in local agricultural sourcing.

Vincent is thirsty for adventure and loves to take pictures of his many discoveries in the Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean region.

Renato already has a great history of travel.  At the age of 19, accompanied by his mother, he went on a roadtrip across North America.  He then settled in Western Canada and finally left to discover Australia.  It was there that he developed his real passion for cooking.

For Renato, nothing beats a good fire, wild meat and fresh vegetables. A paradise of flavours!

Born into a family of hoteliers, he was immersed in the restaurant business from an early age. With more than 15 years of experience in the restaurant business in Saguenay, he founded a company, Marché Sauvage, following his passion for nature and cooking.

Pier-Yves likes to push his limits and get off the beaten track.  He devotes his free time to exploring nature.  This barista likes to be surrounded by people, in all simplicity around good food.

Lucky

We must not forget the 4th member of the group. Lucky is Pier-Yves' dog. After a beginning of life in bad company, Pier-Yves rescued him. Lucky is now the happiest dog in the world and is part of the group's many adventures, summer and winter. The guys didn't tell us if Lucky is the official taster of the group?

The most beautiful place in Saguenay Lac St-Jean: L'Anse Saint-Jean ( moreover, all the residents have a bread oven, what a paradise!
