Three adventurers with the goal of crossing the ocean
Prendre le vent is the journey of three adventurers who realized their dream of crossing an ocean under sail. Their adventure of several months allowed them to make inspiring encounters with islanders passionate about the ocean, and to participate in original and innovative initiatives for its protection. Throughout this crossing, they took the time to film their daily life, their encounters, their difficulties sometimes, but also very often their joys.
Relive this great adventure on the Évasion channel.

Yoann is the captain of the boat and the initiator of the project. He worked for ten years in a travel agency and accompanied groups of Quebecers to the four corners of the world. He is also an outstanding communicator and speaker. But his greatest strength is his ability to bring people together. He loves people, and people give him back a hundredfold.
Yoann is a man of action but also a great dreamer who since his youth imagines crossing an ocean by sail. He is determined to take up all the challenges that will be presented and to ensure his role as captain in this project.
Elisabeth is Yoann's girlfriend and his co-captain on the sailboat. A naturopath by profession, nature and spirituality occupy a privileged place in her life. She loves to inspire people around her to take care of themselves and their environment, both being inseparable. A great traveler, her thirst for discovery has led her to travel around the world several times.
Eli always wants to go somewhere, but usually by plane, by bike or by running! Life on a sailboat will be a challenge to adapt and learn, and that's what motivates her.
Guillaume is Yoann's brother and the cameraman/director of the project. He has been working in the audiovisual field for more than 10 years. He has developed a critical eye and a sharp artistic sense. He is also a true adventurer at heart. He has lived in the four corners of the earth and is passionate about documenting his travels on video.
Guillaume is a fan of strong sensations. It is in the water on his surfboard or kitesurf that he feels the best. Life on a sailboat is the perfect match for him who advocates a life close to nature, based on adventure and simple pleasures.
Jackson
Jackson has received the best of his Labrador-Husky heritage. With his warm personality and adventurous side, he is the star of every gathering. He was also introduced to sailing at a young age and is already familiar with the St. Lawrence River. Who knows, he may soon compete for the title of the biggest dog in Quebec to have crossed the Atlantic.
And their future projects?
Yoann
365 days on the ocean inspired me and gave me the desire to share my experience. When I return, I would like to create a film and show it in several theaters in the province, in the form of film conferences. I also plan to open my own travel agency and specialize in sailing and catamaran trips. An ideal way to experience adventure, to travel with the power of the wind, while taking a vacation.
Elisabeth
When I get back, I want to continue to get involved in organizations that protect our oceans and waterways. After seeing all that is being done around the Atlantic, it gives me lots of ideas, and unlimited motivation!
And keep on sailing, of course! I'm going to take a little break from long sailing trips, to enjoy the many navigable lakes of Quebec, and our beautiful St. Lawrence!
Guillaume
As for me, I loved coming back to Guadeloupe (Yoyo and I lived there for 8 years when we were young) and I plan to settle there, live on my sailboat and take an advanced training to work as a skipper on boats.
