The Roy and D'Amours family
The first Chlorophylle ambassador family
"Happiness is only true if it's shared", writes Marie-Ève D'Amours on her MoiME blog. We couldn't agree more and were delighted to witness the preparations for her trip to Bolivia this summer with her family and their four backpacks. Because yes, behind the Roy and D'Amours clan, there's mom Marie-Ève, Mathieu, her sweetheart, and their two children, Émile (12) and Clarence (10). Let's meet the endearing first Chlorophylle ambassador family.
Are you curious to know about the clothes they are bringing to Bolivia?
Marie-Ève: blogger, mom, and enthusiast
For several years now, she's very active in the blogosphere. First via her platform (moime.ca) for the past 8 years, a place where she expresses herself in words and images. She is also the founder and president of La deMOIs'aile, a platform designed for teenage girls to build their self-esteem by allowing them to be bloggers. It's in the heart of the Laurentians that this nature enthusiast maintains her balance: personal, couple, family, and, above all, time for mountain hiking and skiing.
"As a woman who embraces "quality style" in my daily life, becoming a Chlorophylle ambassador is undoubtedly a major asset that will benefit my entire precious family. Hello, comfort, quality, and beauty from a local company that I adore. I'm already dreaming of the colorful mix of the Bolivian landscape, highlighted with the Chlorophylle brand, which provides incredible content...! ", she writes.
A new chapter is being written for her as her passions blend over the summer of 2023 with writing, adventure, people, Bolivian culture, the outdoors and, above all, family coiled at the center of it all. "I don't think I have enough space in my backpack to bring you with us, so we'll see you on the Chlorophylle blog to tell you all about it," she concludes.
Clarence: Lovely swarthy with hazel eyes
She's the youngest of the Roy and D'Amours clan, but not the least. Let's let her describe herself in a few words: "Hi, I'm Clarence, and I was lucky enough to go to Spain with my parents and brother last summer. Since then, they've been calling me "Beber" - well, I know that means "drink" in French, but I'm the baby of the family. What's more, I have all the looks of a Bolivian. Swarthy skin, dark almond eyes, and long, thick brown hair. I have a friend who has been accompanying me at night for a few years now. This is Cusco. My dad gave me this lovely, soft alpaca after his trip to Peru." She would love to find a place for Cusco in her backpack, but every inch is precious. However, her parents allow her to bring a reading book, a writing pad, and a deck of cards. We can't wait to read her travel stories.
Émile: Tattooed tennis, forest, nature and Chlorophylle
His brother Émile is 12 years old. He's nicknamed "Tennismantarzan" because he plays tennis and has an all-consuming passion for wood and everything that lives in nature. After touching and seeing everything that has grown near their home, he can't wait to discover Bolivia's flora. "It seems that adventure is calling me to discover a new country! Coach, my father's nickname, is organized as can't be. He loves to travel, so he passes on his passion to us. I'm a bit worried about my ears at altitude. But I'm adventurous and very curious, so I can't wait to get my eyes full of them and discover this wonderful country."
Bolivia exploration mission by «coach»
Finally, let's talk about Mathieu, the instigator of this Bolivia exploration mission. Formed by over twenty trips, adventure constantly calls on him to discover new horizons. A French teacher for over 20 years, he has had the opportunity to take Secondary 4 and 5 students on several trips. "Whether as a couple, with my students, or as a family, travel has been part of my DNA since I was a young boy. The preparation and all the steps leading up to departure are as exciting to me as the trip itself. My girlfriend would probably not agree with the 'preliminaries', but that's another story," he laughs. Going to Bolivia for almost a month equipped and dressed by the great Chlorophylle family is exciting for him. Everything is designed to be light and above all, very compact," he exclaims. The layering system is highly advantageous, and we'll be able to get the most out of it in this country, where we'll be experiencing every temperature imaginable! His family calls him "Coach" because he's super-organized. He's looking forward to the surprises and unexpected encounters in his next destination.
